Tossed sees success after going cashless
Last year, the healthy fast food chain started using touch-screen menus for customers, instead of manned tills, and taking payment by credit or debit card, contactless, or Apple Pay instead of cash.
The chain’s Finance Director, Neil Sebba, has confirmed that 17 of Tossed’s London sites now operate on a cashless basis, adding that customers have welcomed the time-saving change.
The business, which was founded in Paddington in 2005, saw turnover increase by 13.6% to over £10 million in the year to March 31, cutting losses to £714,365 from £932,018.
Tossed, which employs 217 staff, has also voiced that it has concerns about recruiting once Britain leaves the EU.
